18.) Gary Coleman then made a presentation for the Delta Chi Educational Foundation.

19.) Following some introductory remarks by Iowa “BB” Larry Audlehelm on recruitment a serious of recruitment round tables were held including the following:

Philosophy/Preparation – It is impossible to put together an effective plan of action without knowing why you’re putting together the plan and where you want to go. This short but powerful introduction will serve as the framework for the entire effort. Focusing on why recruitment is more important than just “getting guys to fill the house” and why it has to happen now by Larry Audlehelm former “AA,” “CC,” “DD,” and Iowa Chapter “BB”

Branding – Why is Delta Chi better than the other chapters on your campus? Is it? There are right and wrong way to go about answering these questions. Do you know which are which? In this session, we will illustrate the proper, and very simple, ways to sell someone on joining your organization Justin Sherman, Director of Chapter Services.

Mechanics – Ever wonder if you're leaving the best impression with your potential members? Did you communicate the right things? Is this the right candidate for your chapter? These questions can be answered by Asking the right questions and hearing what is being said. Improving your communication skills and how you interact with possible new members overall will have a direct impact your recruitment efforts. Better quality associate members from the beginning, which result in a better chapter overall by Grant Herrin, Regent, Region III

Events – Large events are certainly not the only means by which we have available to us to meet potential new members. Associate Members should have the opportunity to met active members of the chapter in both small and large group settings. The fundamental recruitment formula of 1.) met him, 2.) make him your friend, 3.) introduce him to other members and 4.) introduce him to the fraternity is played out through both the formally organized larger events and smaller more personal ones by Scott Klinefelter, Former Regent, Region IV

Follow Through – Don’t let one bad apply ruin the whole bunch! Learn the fundamentals of purpose-driven recruitment to seek out and find the best men for your chapter. You will learn to analyze the values of your chapter and what you value in new members. In the end, it’s not about bidding the most men, it’s about bidding the most good men by Marquez Brown, Regent for Region VI
